My Favorite Original Film Scores
Everyone knows the importance of music in conveying a film's emotion, mood and desired tone. There are two forms in which this is achieved, a Score and a Soundtrack, but what is the difference? Film scores are an orchestral composition (sometimes with a chorus) designed uniquely for the film on which is appears. Soundtracks on the other hand are are often comprised of popular songs. However, they can also be made up of songs written for the film like Grease. Below I have composed a short list of some of my favourite original movies scores that are playable on my site. What would make your list? The Avengers: Battle Scene Animation
The Avengers or Marvel Avengers Assemble (as it was called here in the UK), was a film that brought all our favorite Marvel Superheroes (Iron Man click for review, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Thor) from their standalone films together under one banner.
The film was a great success and showed a remarkable sense of balance and restraint considering the amount of lead characters and A-list actors onboard. The movie gained much critical success and went on to break box office records ultimately becoming the third highest-grossing film of all time. Naturally a sequel is in the pipeline which is for now appropriately titled The Avengers 2. The film is again to be written and directed by Joss Whedon and is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
Until then, I thought I'd share the climactic battle sequence from the original film in this cool animation with you.
