The Greatest Movies To See Before You Die

Many movies are good, some are great, but only a select few can be deemed “classic”. It’s easy for movie lovers to be nostalgic for Hollywood’s “Golden Age” of the 1930s and ’40s, and many cine-files will tell you that film as an art reached its peak in the late ’60s and early ’70s. However there have been some incredible ground breaking cinematic pictures of more recent times, from big budget blockbusters to small break out independent features stretching from all corners of the globe.

After pondering this for some time I have compiled a list of 150 of what I feel to be essential film. To choose the titles for the list, I considered factors like historical importance and cultural impact. But I also selected films that I believe are the most thrilling, dramatic, original, scariest, funniest and most artistic movies of all time. Some of these films you’ve seen, and some you may not have heard of, but I believe that each one is a timeless classic that demands your view, at least before you die.
