Stanley Kubrick: The Shining In Animated GIFs

Below is a collection from some of the most memorable and iconic moments from one of the most influential, shocking, and well respected directors in the history of film. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you;

 Stanley Kubrick

The Shining Stanley Kubrick, stanley kubrick and jack Nicholson

Kubrick, who is regarded as one of the most important contributions to world cinema in the twentieth century, was not only an expert in crafting, but also a master of mood. He was a director who poured over every aspect of his pictures with an unyielding obsession for perfection that never wavered until his true vision was realised, no matter how long it took or stresses it brought with it.  The results as we all now know are quite simply masterpieces.

Here is a selection from some of the directors most iconic films captured in a single gesture, an animated gif. They evoke an indelible moment in film history in a way no film still possibly could.

The Shining (1980)

“Hi, Lloyd. Little slow tonight, isn’t it?”

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
