Quentin Tarantino Announces ‘The Hateful Eight‘ Cast
When the original screenplay was leaked online earlier in this year, Quentin Tarantino announced that The Hateful Eight was for the scrapheap. However, after strenuous rewrites and public outcry, it seems Tarantino’s Hateful Eight is back on, and stronger than ever. Today not only was the movie synopsis revealed, but also its full cast, including each members role in the film.
Brief Synopsis: Set some years after the American Civil War. We follow eight people who are converging in Wyoming after being stuck at a stagecoach stop amid a heavy storm.
The Hateful Eight has a target release for 2015.
Samuel L. Jackson
Jackson is said to be playing a bounty hunter and a former solider for the union.
Roth and Tarantino reunite for the first time since Pulp Fiction. Roth will play a hangman.
Tatum will not make part of the 8, and for how his role is still unknown.
Russell last worked with Tarantino back in 2007 on Death Proof. Here he will be playing a bounty hunter.
Jennifer Jason Leigh
Leigh will be playing a fugitive.
He will be playing a “southern renegade” who claims to be a sheriff.
The Hateful Eight will see Bichr play the owner of a clothing store.
The Hateful Eight will be Madsen’s third film with Tarantino. Here, Madsen will be playing a “cow-puncher” , which is apparently another name for cowboy.
Bruce Dern had a small role in Django Unchained and was last seen in the fantastic Alexander Payne film; Nebraska. He’ll be playing a Confederate general in Hateful Eight.
